چکیده

WO mutants in the mouse, Tabby and crinkled, produce identical phenotypes when homozygous. The Ta/Ta or cr/cr mouse has a long, narrow face, a very smooth looking coat with bare patches behind the ears, no hair on the tail and a markedly reduced number of secondary vibrissae (FALCONER, FRASER and KING 1952). The coat of the mouse normally consists of four types of hair: guard hairs, awls, auchenes and zigzags (DRY 1962). Closer examination of the hair of Ta/Ta or cr/cr mice reveals that the coat consists entirely of one type of hair which resembles an awl in length and shape but lacks the orderly arrangement of pigment granules found in normal awls (Figure 1) . The mutants differ in that

Aspects of the tabby—crinkled—downless syndrome

Two alleles of the sex-linked gene tabby, Ta and Ta°, and two autosomal mimics of tabby, crinkled, cr, and downless, dl, each produce a similar mutant syndrome involving the coat and dentition of the mouse. Certain aspects of the development of the mutant defects have already been studied, and some comparisons between tabby and crinkled have been made. The present investigation is concerned wit...

P-47: Effect of Blastocoelic Fluid Reduction on Quality and Expression of Developmentally Important Genes in Mouse Blastocysts

Background Recent researches reveal that manual puncturing of the trophectoderm of blastocyst before vitrification, increase the quality of embryo. However, in any of these studies, the importance of blastocoelic fluid and its impact on the formation of three cell lines is not mentioned. Therefore, in the present study, the effect of blastocoelic fluid reduction before vitrification on survival...

Extract of mouse embryonic stem cells induces the expression of pluripotency genes in human adipose tissue-derived stem cells

Objective(s): In some previous studies, the extract of embryonic carcinoma cells (ECCs) and embryonic stem cells (ESCs) have been used to reprogram somatic cells to more dedifferentiated state. The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of mouse ESCs extract on the expression of some pluripotency markers in human adipose tissue-derived stem cells (ADSCs). Materials and Methods: Human A...

Effect of lysophosphatidic acid on the follicular development and the ‎expression of lysophosphatidic acid receptor genes during in vitro culture of ‎mouse ovary

Lysophosphatidic acid (LPA) known as a serum-derived growth factor, is involved in several cell physiological functions in the female reproductive system including: oocyte maturation, in vitro fertilization and embryo implantation by its transmembrane G protein-coupled receptors. The aim of the present study was to examine the effect of LPA on in vitro follicular development o...

In vitro versus In vivo: Development-, Apoptosis-, and Implantation-Related Gene Expression in Mouse Blastocyst

Background: While mammalian embryos can adapt to their environments, their sensitivity overshadows their adaptability in suboptimal in vitro conditions. Therefore, the environment in which the gametes are fertilized or to which the embryo is exposed can greatly affect the quality of the embryo and consequently its implantation potential. Objectives:</stro...
